Selecting an in-network provider for your dental, vision and hearing care has many advantages. The providers who participate in our network have agreed to offer services at a negotiated rate, which means you’ll pay a discounted rate at the time of service. Joanne has had her policy for 13 months and has selected an in-network dentist for her dental work. Her dental provider agreed to a discounted rate for services as an in-network dentist, which means she paid $767.10 for her dental treatment (including $100 deductible).

Dental
DVH (Dental Vision Hearing Plans) are affordable insurance plans that cover basic dental, vision, and hearing care. They usually have a minimal annual deductible, which gives you quick access to coverage. Some plans offer additional benefits, such as telehealth or fitness club memberships. You can customize your benefits to make them work for you. These plans are available in all states except California.
Aetna offers one of the most popular DVH carriers. The plan provides coverage for basic dental and vision care immediately, while most vision care is covered within 6 months. The plan uses a network of dentists that are not employees of ALIC. In-network dentists usually offer preferred pricing, which saves you money.
The Aetna Dental Access network has over 226,000* dental practice locations across the United States, and members can save up to 50% on most dental services. Aetna has discount cards, which can be purchased by mail or online. The discount cards are good for 15 percent to 50 percent off most services.
Medicare Coverage for Dental Vision and Hearing:
Original Medicare doesn’t cover Dental services, vision services, or hearing services. In order to get dental coverage while you are on Medicare you need enroll in a separate Dental, and Vision plan. Aetna offers an affordable DVH plan for all Medicare beneficiaries. Some Medicare Advantage plans offer Dental and Vision coverage for their beneficiaries while Medicare Supplement plans do not .
